Internet, Humans Best Friend!

Hi, my name is Jelena, and I'm an Internetoholic!
I really don't know what I would do without Internet. Its not until your without Internet for a while, you see how much important it is too you. I haven't been able to do any job hunting, or writing blog or watching fun YouTube clips and it had been terrifying. I have been so desperate that I dragged my beloved lap top to friends houses, just to steal some needed Internet. But now its finally starting to work again, better and faster then before and I cant be more happy about it! Now I can FINALLY do some work on it, get information about things and continue my job hunting. Me and Phillip are also thinking of moving into the city, and for that to happen, I need to get myself a fulltime job so I can afford paying the rent and food, but also have spare money for amusement and to save up for my trips. So yeah, we will see how good that plan goes. Tomorrow night we are going to look at an apartment, and we will see how it goes from there. If the place has working whireless internet, ill move in faster then you can say "capped".

My New Job

Priglavke Moje Drage!

Ljudi u Australiji neznaju sta je grijanje. Niko to nema u svojoj kuci i zimaje ko u jedan igloo. Bas mi nedostaju priglavke (najbolji izum sto se meni tice). Mama ako ovo procitas, molimte posalji mi nekolko priglavaka. Doce naravno u korist. Cmok!

Job Interview

The interview went very quickly and without me talking so much (she only asked me two questions). I was also being interviewed with another girl which made it a bit easier and more relaxed. But even if the interview was short and without much questions and with another person there, I was REALLY nervous. I still think I did better then last time, one big reason for that is that they want to see me again! I don't think it means I got the job yet, but they want to show me how they are working and if I am the right person for the position. Now I just need to book myself a time with them and we will see how it goes from there...Yeey!

Job Hunting, Work Out, Job Hunting, Weird Cat, Interview!, Work Out...

The last week has been pretty monotonous. I have been busy with job hunting (most of the time) and also working out (mostly jogging). I have also had the chance to discover that something is really wrong with Leila (Phillips cat). I think she suffers from some kind of retardation. This accord to me yesterday when I saw her drinking water from the toilet (?). I think that was the reason why she fell into the toilet the other day. She is drinking from everywhere els, except her own bowl. I am no cat expert, but I don't think that is a normal behavior...or is it?

Anyway, I got great news about my job hunting. I got an interview with a sales company...yeey! At least I'm getting somewhere! I have it on Thursday and I really hope it goes better then last time. I just need to relax and be myself the 15 min that the interview is going to take (thank god its not longer!). I would like to continue looking for jobs today, its just that our internet is capt and working REALLY slowly, so I cant do much on it. But that is good, because now I have a good excuse to clean up my room and sort my papers and clothes out (something that I should have done a long time ago). I will also make myself time to work out later and of course practise on my interview for tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Job Hunting

These past couple of days has been devoted for job hunting and training. Its time for me to start working out on a regular basis again after many months of bumming around, I just hope I can sustain my training program now that I have started.

And what It comes to job hunting, no new news. I applied for a couple of jobs yesterday, and last night I got an answer from one of them and it wasn't good. They already fulfilled the position that I was wanting. So its just for me to continue searching and not not give up. Before I came here I had goals that I wanted to achieve during my stay, and damn I'm going to achieve them! I am not going anywhere til I fulfill them and make the best out of my stay here! I just need to be stubborn and goal oriented and I guess everything will work it self out sooner or later.

Phillip Island

Miljanas Last Week In Melbourne

Phillip Island was a wonderful place. Our first trip was Churchill Island where we saw farm animals, kitchen gardens and cute little old houses. Next stop was the Koala Conservation Center where we saw koalas, wallabies and different kind of birds. I really liked the park because it was animal friendly; it had huge space for the animals to move on and the fact that they only had native animals in their natural habitat. Last but certainly not least, we saw one of the cutest animals in the world, the little penguin emerge from the sea and waddle ashore to their sand dune burrows (we weren't allowed to take pictures of the penguins coming up the water so I downloaded a picture from the net so I can show you how cute they are). To have the opportunity to see wild animals in their natural environment then caged up at zoos, is a huge satisfaction for me.

On Tuesday, Rita took us to Warburton, a mountain with beautiful fern tree forest (looked like Jurassic park forest). We even had the chance to see the rare and shy Lyrebird running around the road (see picture above). I also ate the best cup cake in the world at Warburton; caramel muffin with chocolate chips in it, yummy! So I am definitely going back there to svulla some more =) Later that day we had birthday dinner with Phillips unkle at a restaurant with the best calamari rings. What would life be without delicious food?!

On Wednesday, I showed Miljana the last part of the city, the parks, Yarra river and the pub.
Thursday and Friday had real beach weather, so we spent the days on St Kilda beach and on some other beach I cant remember the name of. Perfect ending on Miljanas holiday. She left for Sweden yesterday night, so she should be home later today. I hope she enjoyed the stay here and that she absorbed as much sun as she possible could to survive the last dark weeks in Sweden.

Sydney!!!

The last week has been full of happenings and birthdays. Last Friday night, Erika and Angie had a birthday party at a really nice beach house that they rented (well it wasn't so pretty the day after with vomit and trash everywhere), and this Friday was Tanya's turn to celebrate her birthday and we did it by going out and partying at the famous Crown. It was an awesome night, mostly because I won a 30 dollar drinking ticket (that was pretty shocking considering that i NEVER have luck in anything), so we got pretty smashed.
We have also spent our Sunday driving to the 12 apostles. I remember the beautiful trip from last time I was here. If anyone decides to come to visit Australia, you just have to take a trip along the coast. The scenery is just amazing. I will upload pictures when ever my computer is ready to cooperate with me and lets me upload pictures.

The trip to Sydney started on Monday and ended on Thursday night. We stayed at our childhood friends place that we haven't seen in like 20 years. It was a happy surprise to see how beautiful people they are so we had a great time with them. Me and Miljana got to see both the city and the nature around it. Some of the places we visited was the Opera house, Harbour Bridge, Darling harbour, Manly and Bondi beach, the Queen Victoria building, Botanical garden and the Royal National Park. I fell in love with Sydney almost instantly. The city itself is so much prettier and intresting then Melbourne. I dont know if that has to do with the fact that I live here and am kind of sick of it or I dont know. Something that I know for sure is that I am definitely going back to Sydney to see all the places that I havent had the chance to see.

Tomorrow we are going to see wild penguines at Phillip Island. I just hope the weather is going to let us do that. Can't wait =)

Invaders Must Die!

I am just now listening to my brand new Prodigy CD, Invaders Must Die, (that i ordered a month and a half ago!!) and I am sooo happy! I also got a DVD with it that i have to look at. Weee!
And over to some bad news, i still haven't got any job, which is starting to get pretty frustrating. I am used to do things all the time back in Sweden, and now when i don't have anything to do, I'm slowly getting more and more crazy! I have not even heard anything from the animal shelter place for my volunteer work, which I find pretty weird. I am offering to help for no money in return and they don't even want that..! The world have gone mad!
Luckily I have my sister here now so I have someone to do stuff with. We have been pretty busy doing things every day which is good. We have been to a really nice place near the coast called Dromana and op shopped all day with Rita (shopped second hand clothes and accessories for REALLY cheap). The past two days, we have been exploring the city by ourselves, walking around, watching a movie at Imax and going to the Melbourne Museum. The weather has been really shit the past couple of days (raining all the time) so we had to find stuff to do indoors.
Yesterday we were out clubbing with Estelle and Tanya at this place near by. The music was good and the beer was pretty cheap...with other words, my kind of place. Me and sis have also booked a trip to Sydney, which we are going to on Monday to Thursday next week. That means one more city to explore and stuff for me to do, thank god!

Sisters First Week In Aussie Land

Sorry for not writing in a while. I don't have any good excuses other then I have been a lazy ass. My sister came a week ago and since then we have had time to do a lot of things. We have for example gone to the beach, to shopping center and worked out at 1000 steps. I even had time to catch a cold during this week which I think was all Phillips fault. He brought the germs into this house...grr!
This Friday we went to the Soundwave Festival with Julian and we saw among others, Alice In Chains, NIN and Bloodhound Gang. Alice were great and their new singer rocks! Bloodhound were pretty good themselves and very entertaining. Most of Saturday went by with us not doing anything at home. The only fun thing was when we went to cinema to watch Changeling (I think it was called that..?) and at night when we went to a night club to celebrate one of Phillips friends. The Sunday was spent in Weeribee open range zoo where we saw all kinds of animals and later that day we listened and watched African dance and songs from Rythm of Africa. Todays plans are going to Mount Dandenong to see the beautiful nature, have a picknick and taking photos. But before that, I have a lot of drinking tea to do.

Sister Coming To Visit

This weekend was full of party. Undertone was on Friday, were we listened to Misha's set. It was fun with a lot of free drinks (thanks to drinking coupons and Andrew) and the good crowd that we went with. Tiffany had her birthday party on Saturday at her place. It was a bit calmer but nice. Yesterday night, we sat on a pier at Lysterfield lake were Julian played guitar and singed. It was really great and relaxing and I really think that we should do it more often!

Tonight at 9.30 pm, Miljana is going to land in Melbourne. She is going to stay here for about a month and hopefully we are going to have a good time and do a lot of things. I hope that everything goes well with the flight. Good luck and see you soon Miljana!

Flee Attack Part 2!

The damn flees are back! I saw them on both animals and it is really disgusting. I am starting to think that Bella was right when she said that they are almost impossible to get rid off. I guess the only thing to do is to sanitize the whole house and hope for the best.

The volunteer information session was great! The manager told us all about the shelter and what kind of job was waiting for us (for example cleaning pens, walking dogs, grooming cats, feeding animals and so on). We got a round tour in the shelter and saw all the cute animals, they had pens with sick dogs, dogs ready for adoption, puppies, birds, guinea pigs and they even had an adorable little retirement house for old cats (it was a real house with kitchen and living room and cat beds everywhere, it even have a backyard where the cats can go out...sooo cute!). Now I'm just waiting for the dog shelter manager to call me and say when they can start training me and I can start helping some animals, yeey!

My First Job Interview

I am finally getting somewhere with my job hunting! Today I saw a We-need-staff-sign outside a pet shop and as desperate as I am I went in there to give them my resume. I wasn't expecting the manager to ask me for an interview right there and then so as a nervous little wreck I am, I sucked. I said some stupid things that I shouldn't have and I didn't have much personality. Even if I don't get the job, I will be happy, because I have learn a good lesson from the shitty interview, what not to say and how not to act! And I'm not sure if I even want to work in a pet shop, due to the fact that I have always despite them and their way of treating animals. Oh well, I'm gonna find out on Monday if I got the job or not. Until then I'm gonna continue my job hunting and handing out resumes and hope that I can get a job somewhere els!

Oh tomorrow I'm going to go to a dog shelter informaion session and I am really excited! Apperently its REALLY hard to get a job at a shelter and even to volunteer, so I really hope that I can help them in some way and finally do some volunteer work that I have wanted for so long. I will keep you posted with that =)

Sweet Revenge

Yesterday I got my revenge on Sasha. Me and Estelle jumped on him while he was sleeping. Revenge is pretty sweet. One down, two more to go...

Miiii Week

The past week looked like this:

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: Bumming around. Handing out resumes to shops like clothing shops, pet store (I know and im not proud of it! And it was only one for that matter...). Fixed PS2 and Guitar Hero. Played Guitar Hero. Borrowed some dog books from the library. Went to city with Tiffany and Deb. Bought shoes and masquerade stuff (only some laced glowes and a pearl bracelet). Played more Guitar Hero....

Friday: At night we went to Mikis masquerade party. It was fun, I met a couple of new people/friends of Phillips. One of them will maybe be able fix me a job at a cafe (håll tummarna för mig!).

Saturday: Hangovered and bad bad headache all day. Our little Jano got disexed. He was at the vets all day. At night we (the family) went to the cinemas and watched Slumdog Millionare. A very good movie I would recommend. After that we went to SANs place (Sasha, Andrew and Njegoses place) to watch American History X. The night ended with Sasha, Andrew and Branko coming over to our place, just to nock on our window and waking us up with a heart attack. Funny guys, we will see how funny it is when we come over to terrorize you!

Sunday: Left my resume at vet that chopped Janos balls off. Went to St Kilda festival with Andrew, Miki, Tiff and Branko.

Monday: Left more resumes at different vets (hope, hope, hooope I get a job at a vet!!). Went to yayas place for dinner (yaya=grandma in greek) and afterwards we went for coffee at a pier cafe.

Tuesday (Today): Im going to leave one more resume at a vet and a dog shelter and later we are all going to some botanical garden place somewhere in Melbourne. I will keep you posted on how it was.

My New Me

Yesterday I decided to get a new look. I was so bored of my lifeless long hair, so I let Estelle (Phillips sister) who's a hair dresser, cut it and dye it dark red. I'm really happy with the results, it turned out stunning.

Check it out and tell me what you think =)

Smack My Bitch Up Video

For the people that want to see smack my bitch up live video that Misha recorded at the concert, please go to this link, you will not regret it =) :

The Prodigy!

The concert the other day was as great as I expected. It was awesome, magical, phenomenally good! It got really crowded, hot and sweaty. It felt like Bikram Yoga, that's how much we all sweat ed. The staff had to spray us with water in the mosh pit to keep us cool so we wouldn't faint from the heat. But man even if it was that horrible, it was so worth it! They were really good at stage and they played both new and old songs. Some of the songs they played were breathe, voodoo people, fire starter, smack my bitch up, invaders must die (which was the best song throe the whole concert according to me!), omen and some other new songs that I didn't recognize because I havent listened to the new album (I have bought it over internet and im gonna get it 23 of feb...yeeey!). After the concert we were all planning on going swimming in the ocean but nobody did because it was to cold in the water. We all just went home because we were all exhausted after the hot day and the mad concert.

The day after I finally went to work out at a gym with Sasha and Njegos, which felt soo good (feels less good today with my sore muscles...) and after that we went to the beach for some much needed cooling in the beautiful ocean water. After the stunning sunset we all went to Sasha, Andrew and Njegoses place to chill and just hang out. Owerall a good day exept the ridiculously hot weather which is feeling much cooler and better today. Hopefully it will get better the days that are about to come.

I'm Melting!

This is insane. It has been 43 degrees outside now for 2 day (going to continue for a couple more days!). I don't know if I can handle this insane hot weather. You cant sleep, you cant be outside if you don't want to get burnt and die(!?) and you feel like your going crazy. Anyways...I am going to spend my day under the air con and in front of the TV before its time to go to Davids (Phillips high school teacher friend) for dinner and then the longed-for concert of mine! Hopefully after the concert we can refresh ourselves by dipping in some lake/sea/pool/what ever water we can find...

Hot Summer Day

Yesterday I saw my other family here in Aussie. We spent the day at the beach, walking, talking and drinking smoothies. After that I went for dinner at Phillips grandmas place where the food was delicious! We ended the day at Sasha and Andrews place were there was a little going away party for Erika. The day overall was pretty good and interesting.
Today its gonna be 40 degrees so I am not going to do so much until the sun goes down, when I might go to steps again and then cool off by swimming in a lake.

Tomorrow is a big big day for me. Its when I'm finally going to see my sweethearts, the PRODIGY!!! Gonna be awesome! Cant wait =)=)=)

Flee attack!

The cute little kitten Leila has gotten flees!! We saw it the other day, small black things moving in her fur. I have never seen anything so nasty in my life. We have treated both pets with anti-flee-medicine and hopefully the damn bugs will leave the poor animals alone! It also feels like my head is itching more then normally and I just hope that its me being paranoid and not me being invaded by flees that's wrong!
Yesterday I finally went for a bike ride and I even got company by Leonard's sister Deb. It was great riding bike weather and it was so nice getting out in the nature again (we rode in a park near by). Its pretty nice weather today as well so I think im going for a ride again.
Yesterday I also helped Phillip try out his new light kit by modelling for him. It was fun but i didn't like the results. Well see how the picture looks like after his cheating with them on the computer.
Today's tasks are going out with Jano, ride the bike, clean the apartment and look for jobs. I just hope I will have the time to do all off that when time is my only enemy.

The Beach

Today I spent almost the whole day at the beach. The weather was warm and perfect (well it was pretty windy and cold at beach but good enough) for sun baking. The water was freezing, reminded me of the frezing swedish waters and i was determent not to go swimming...well that is what i thought. Little i knew that Phillips little devil friends were planning on throwing me in the ice cold water, you know, just for fun =/ Man they are gonna get it back soooo hard some nice day when they least expect it! Now we (me and Phill) are going to Mishas for some drinking and just hanging around with rest of the gang. Hopefully I get my chance to get even as soon as tonight!

More Birthdays

Just wanted to say Happy Birthday Sofia! Hope you have a wonderful day with family and friends. Wish I could be there! <3
